Ravril is an NPC initially found in the Domhan Lighthouse in the first floor bedroom at the start of the game.

You meet Ravril at the very beginning of the game. Lieutenant Ravril is an NPC that accompanies you throughout the main quest line. He does not help you fight in battles, nor do you see him following you as you walk around. He only shows up at set encounters and cutscenes to assist new players with information, game mechanics, and story progression.
As of Patch Alpha 0.6.27, Ravril now comes to your rescue when you are low on health and heals you. See the Passive: Ravril to the Rescue.

You can click Ravril before clicking Lauren at the start of the game:
Ravril - *snores*
When you get near your first telepad / way point:
Ravril - What's the matter? Never seen a way point before? You - I... can't remember anything before the shipwreck. Ravril - Hmm... amnesia maybe? In any case, if you step on these waypoints you can warp instantly to any other waypoint. Ravril - Hey! It looks like you discovered this one! Awesome! Ravril - Unfortunately you can only warp to waypoints you've already visited. It looks like you know of no other so we'll have to walk for now!
When you get near the shipwreck:
Ravril - No evidence of survivors... Ravril - But half the ship is still intact... I wonder if anyone is still inside... Ravril - Come on <your name>, I think we can use the barrels to hop across.
When you reach the lower section of the shipwreck:
Ravril - Jordan... are you ok? ...Jordan? Lee - ...Ravril... Ravril - Lee, what happened? Lee - ...Crimson... he... escaped... Ravril - Lee, please save your breath, we'll get you help... Ravril - Woah, what is going on?
Three tentacles attack, and a rusty sword is left on the ground after the battle.
Ravril - Lee... Ravril - No! Lee! Don't die on me... Ravril - Crimson will pay for this! I will avenge you Lee! Ravril - <your name>... I lost my men, I lost my ship... there is nothing left. I have no one to blame but myself... Ravril - I should have protected my men better. How could I have been so careless... You - You did the best you could... That storm wasn't natural. Ravril - You may be right... You - Who is Crimson anyway? Ravril - !!! Ravril - Crimson is a war criminal turned sellsword. We've been after him for years! Do you really not remember anything? You - Nothing before waking up on the island. Ravril - What about Spiertir? You - I don't know what that is, I'm sorry... Ravril - Don't apologize! Spiertir is the country we're now in. Maybe a history lesson will jog your memory but we don't have time! I need to report to Captain Lucious at the Domhan Outpost. Ravril - It's a small settlement to the North just past the meadows. Stick with me <your name> and you'll regain your memory in no time!
A New Beginning's objective is updated.
To Reach This NPC[edit]
Ravril travels with you during the main quest line. He is not found in one spot. He can not be encountered once the main quest line is completed.
